What is Females in Training (FIT)?

FIT is a Canberra-based not-for-profit community group for women of all ages and abilities who want to enjoy safe, non-competitive sports training and exercise in a supportive and fun atmosphere.

We offer training, coaching, advice, and a social network for women aged 18 and over. Our main focus is on the three triathlon disciplines of swimming, running, and cycling. FIT is an affiliated member of Triathlon Australia.

Who are our members?

We have members in all age groups, from 18 to 70 and beyond. There is no such thing as too old or too unfit to start with FIT. In fact, 64% of our members are aged between 40 and 60.

What do we do?

FIT’s qualified coaches provide advice and training programs for beginners, novices, and advanced athletes. No experience is necessary to join FIT. We are particularly interested in providing support for women who are commencing or recommencing their involvement in physical activity, and showing them how much fun it can be!
